AT&T Broadband swings the axe

500 heads to roll...

NEWS US-based AT&T Broadband is to cut 500 jobs in an attempt to shift its business focus. A division-wide email alerted staff to the impending changes, as the company looks to concentrate more of its efforts on customer service. The company denied the cuts are related to the broadband division's proposed merger with US cable giant Comcast.
