Microsoft boasts traffic growth

Yahoo! and AOL left standing in its dust...

NEWS Microsoft has claimed traffic to its MSN family of websites and partner sites is growing faster than any of its rivals. Visitor numbers to MSN.com grew by six per cent in January, while Yahoo! witnessed growth of five per cent and AOL saw four per cent more traffic. Microsoft benefited particularly from partner sites including sports site ESPN.com - doubtless buoyed in part by coverage of US sporting flagship event the Superbowl. Microsoft added that it is in talks with content providers about the launch of subscription services via MSN.com.
