NEWS Intelligence Finance, the Halifax bank's online spin-off, has bucked the recent trend in lay-offs and announced the creation of 600 jobs. An initial 600 posts need to be filled at the bank's newest office in Fife, Scotland bringing the total workforce to 3,000. In addition, 800 people will be located to work in the Rosyth Europarc call centre and administration offices. A further 200 will be relocated from the bank's other locations. IF is expected to start recruiting immediately as it hopes to open its doors to business in May or June.
