Playboy reveals losses and pins hopes online

Hefner to sell on eBay...

NEWS Playboy has reported year-end losses of $33.5m and announced it is turning to the internet to reverse its fortunes. The company yesterday announced it is to launch a branded store front on auction site eBay where fans of all things 'Bunny' will be able to bid for anything from Playmate pictures and key rings to an invite for a party at Hugh Hefner's legendary Playboy Mansion. It also hopes online gambling, one area largely untouched by the current downturn, will raise much needed funds through its branded casinos complete with virtual Bunny-girl croupiers.
