Thus faces another FTSE exit

The one-time top 100 firm can't even make top 250...

NEWS Thus, the telecoms firm once valued at £6bn, looks set to suffer the latest in a series of set backs when it is dumped out of the FTSE 250 index later this week. The index comes under review in the next few days and with its market capitalisation dipping to around £160m, Thus' days in the top 250 look numbered. The company created out of Scottish Power, enjoyed a successful float in late 1999 and joined the FTSE 100 in March 2000. However, it has been hit hard by the general devaluation in telecoms stocks. By the end of last week, Thus shares stood at 23.25p down from an all-time high of 844p two years ago.
