Baltimore shares soar on multi-million deals

"Norway?" "Way"...

NEWS Shares in Baltimore jumped almost 16 per cent this morning after the security software firm said it had inked two major deals in Norway and South America. In Norway, Baltimore signed a E3.4m (£2.1m) agreement with e-payment firm Bankenes BetalingsSentral (BBS). BBS provides payment infrastructure to Norway's major banks and financial centres, and will use Baltimore's PKI technology to provide security for online transactions between banks and customers. Later in the morning, Baltimore said it had closed a deal with Peru-based firm, ID CERT, to provide encryption software for its managed services offering. By 10:05(GMT) Baltimore shares had lost some of their early lead, to trade up 13.64 per cent.
