Half a million women surf to iVillage

A portal performing well? Surely some mistake?

NEWS Women's lifestyle portal iVillage attracted over half a million unique users and almost seven million page impressions during January according to its first ABC audit. The site had 541,596 unique users and 6,930,538 page impressions during the month, beating audit figures from rivals handbag.co.uk and femail.co.uk. The site was set up in December 2000 as a joint venture between US firm iVillage and Tesco. The company claims audience figures have grown five-fold since then.
