Vodafone caps execs' pay

Fat cats go on a diet

NEWS Vodafone is planning to 'restructure' the pay packets of its senior executives in a bid to appease angry shareholders. It has scrapped a pay and bonus scheme which could have seen chief exec Sir Christopher Gent receive share options worth up to 23 times his £1m salary, according to London's Metro newspaper. Directors have been set more stringent performance targets to reach before any bonuses will be awarded. Vodafone's biggest-ever advertising campaign kicks off this week, featuring F1 driver Michael Schumacher.
