Viking invades Europe with online trading

NEWS Office products supplier Office Depot/Viking is now trading online with 650 suppliers from across Europe. The company is using a trading service from Burns e-Commerce Solutions to regularly deal with its suppliers in countries including Eire, Germany, Italy and the UK. By the end of the year the company intends to have all of its suppliers - totalling more than 1,000 - using the online trading service. The company claims it is already making 80,000 transactions per month on the system across 14,000 product lines. Suppliers just need internet access to be able to use the service.
