netimperative back from the dead

Looking a little the worse for wear though

NEWS netimperative, the online news service which went into receivership in March, has been relaunched. Investment company Pathgrade has bought the company from the receivers. Heltward Ltd, the previous holding company, went into receivership on 8 March and all services were suspended. The site is now at www.netimperative.info and has news stories from Wednesday and Thursday of this week. No new content has been posted today. The archived material that the site used to charge subscribers for is not currently available, and its reports and events sections are also not yet live. The original .com URL remains live, but takes you to the old version of the site which is still displaying the notice of receivership. Netimperative says it will be working closely with ICP Europe Publishing and will be basing its operations on the ICP Europe online publishing platform. ICP counts the DTI's Beyond Bricks initiative and the British Chambers of Commerce among its clients. It was born out of a merger between Business Europe, the online service co-founded by Andrew Neil, and financial information provider Venturedome in January this year. Davina Lines, commercial director of netimperative and co-founder of the original business, said in a statement: "We are very confident that, with the additional resources and support we will receive from our new relationship with ICP and the new financial backing from Pathgrade Ltd, netimperative will continue as a powerful brand. A reduced cost base and the loyalty of our user base gives the directors confidence in the viability of netimperative." Financial terms of the deal were not made public.
