NEWS The executives behind search engine, Google, are facing a day in court following a decision by a rival to sue. Overture Services of Pasadena has filed a lawsuit in which it accuses Google of illegally using technology that allows advertisers to outbid each other for top billing in search results. Overture Services claims to have developed and patented this technology. Google is the world's most widely used search engine. In January its impressions grew by 12 per cent, according to Nielsen/Netrating. Overture Services did not disclose the amount of damages it was seeking.
