Nortel manages to borrow $1.2bn

Reduced deal reflects reduced lending confidence...

NEWS Nortel's bank lenders have agreed to amend its $1.75bn credit line. The reduced loan was agreed after the lending committee rejected the original proposal. Under the smaller but more expensive deal, the beleaguered telecoms equipment manufacturer loan has been decreased to $1.2bn.
