Football League targets more broadcasters

Rights dispute spreads...

NEWS The Football League is threatening to sue SMG, Channel TV and Ulster TV for breaching football rights contracts in addition to Carlton Communications and Granada, the owners of ITV Digital. ITV Digital is likely to go bust if it is forced to honour the £315m contract is has in place with the League. The additional broadcasters are part of the ITV network and according to the Football League risk breaching the terms of their contract if ITV Digital goes into liquidation.
