Freeserve launches cut-price 'broadband in a box'

All yours for just £85...

NEWS Freeserve is launching a discounted 'broadband in a box' product next Wednesday. The Broadband Installation Kit will be available in Currys, Dixons, The Link and PC World at a special introductory price of £84.99, plus £29.99 per month for unmetered broadband access. The discount period finishes at the end of May, when the package will go up to £149. Freeserve hopes the product's simplicity will help encourage broadband take-up: All users have to do is load the software, plug the supplied ADSL filters into their phone sockets, connect the supplied modem to their computer and then connect.
