Autonomy makes good on promise of recovery

NEWS Autonomy has followed up its string of recent contract wins with strong first quarter results. Although revenues were down four per cent on the comparable quarter of 2001, they were four per cent up quarter-on-quarter to $14.1m, suggesting the firm is making good on its boss Mike Lynch's assertion that the company has turned a corner (http://www.silicon.com/a50689 ). Profits for the company were up on the comparable quarter of 2001 at $3.2m - or three cents per share - from $1.6m - or one cent per share.
