NEWS While frontrunners Liverpool and Arsenal vie for top spot in the tightest Premiership finish in many a season - Southampton have made a late bid for glory in silicon.com's own title race.
The Saints website has outperformed all-comers this month to claim first place with just week's to go until the end of the season - downloading in an impressive 0.65 seconds.
Past table toppers Everton and Ipswich are still not giving up on the title though - completing the top three, with times of 2.25 seconds and 2.19 seconds respectively.
Of the teams challenging for honours in the real world - Arsenal have redeemed themselves after months of poor performance online to take fifth place with a respectable 3.4 seconds.
Having made a mess of the second half of their season Dirty Leeds may take some solace from fourth place, with 3.29 seconds. Newcastle United have claimed sixth spot with 3.63 seconds - though in the week they secured Champions League football this is probably a fact that will be lost on all but the most techie members of the Toon-army.
But for every winner, there must sadly be a loser and, while we take no pleasure in reporting the fact, this month's losers are Manchester United, with a truly awful average time of 8.64 seconds.
Whether the club's servers were overwhelmed by a clamour for information following David Beckham's broken foot is unclear, though long before the nation became fascinated by the whereabouts of the second metatarsal the club's site had never been among the strongest performers, as measured by web monitoring firm Keynote.
With the Old Trafford outfit rock bottom, relegated Derby County and Graham Taylor's Aston Villa complete the bottom three.
