Energis completes MetroHoldings takeover

£8.95m deal...

NEWS Energis has completed the takeover of MetroHoldings after buying out the 50 per cent owned by France Telecom. The business telecoms carrier was bought for £8.95m in an all-cash deal, which represents 50 per cent of the company's value of £17.9m as at 31 December 2001. MetroHoldings reported revenues of £3.7m and Ebitda profits of £1.5m. The company was originally a joint venture with Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom aimed at urban centres in the UK.
