NEWS US police have confirmed that a 13-year-old boy used his school computers to successfully bid for a helicopter and jet fighter plane on auction site eBay. The boy's shopping spree, which ran up a bill of more than $1.3m, also saw him buy a motorbike and a pick-up truck. Alarm bells started ringing with his mother when a friend, whose identity and password the boy was using, was contacted by the helicopter's owner requesting payment of $1.1m. Police discovered the boy had been using the computers at Beaver Middle School in Ohio to make the purchases, but say they will not take any action against him. According to reports on Ananova the boy's head teacher is considering punishing him for his misguided purchases.
