NEWS Yahoo! has extended an existing deal with Travelocity and its parent company Sabre which will see the companies' travel booking services further integrated. As part of the deal, Travelocity and Yahoo! will share any revenues generated by Travelocity's booking system, which offers flights, hotels and car hire, that come via the travel section of the Yahoo! portal. The deal will also see Yahoo! integrate Sabre's technology into its own travel service which is to be re-launched with a new look front page incorporating Sabre's content and booking tools. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, but cross marketing and mutual back-scratching are likely to play a part for both firms. For example Travelocity will now be plugged across a range of Yahoo! sites.
