KPNQwest struggles towards high noon

NEWS KPNQwest's fibre-optic network was granted a stay of execution on Monday night after trustees gave its clients more time to pay their bills. The customers, which include telco KPN, Dell and HP, were told they have until midday on Tuesday to transfer the necessary funds. Meanwhile, Europe's biggest cable TV operator, United Pan-Europe Communications, is the latest company to abandon the network.
