Sage sole survivor of FTSE reshuffle

Tech firms go AWOL...

NEWS Chip designer ARM and IT services company Logica are set to drop out of the FTSE 100 index leaving Sage the only representative from the technology community. ARM's place has been hanging in the balance after a drop in its share value and a two year stint in the top 100. This morning its share price dropped a further 4.5 per cent ahead of the re-shuffle. Logica is also facing an exit from the index. Its shares this morning were worth 218.75p in contrast to a figure of 997.50p back in November of last year. Electrocomponents will also join the departing pair. Sage shares were down almost two per cent by late morning.
