Pets.com puppet comes back from the dead

The only survivor of a failed dot-com is a sock... it says so much about the boom and bust years...

NEWS A sock puppet which acted as the 'face' of Pets.com has been reincarnated as the mascot of a car loans firm. The puppet is being used by US firm 1-800 BarNone to market loans for people with a bad credit rating. The puppet's slogan is: "Everyone deserves a second chance". The puppet has been unemployed since November 2000 when the online pet store went bust.
