NEWS Telewest is to offer a 1Mb version of its Blueyonder cable modem broadband service to residential customers for just £35. Twice as fast as most existing consumer broadband offerings, the service is being made available to customers of Telewest's TV and telephone products for £35, or £39.99 for stand-alone subscribers. The launch follows a 1,500 customer trial in Scotland.
