Glastonbury goes online for high-tech festival

Will viewers stand around with an Aibo on a string...

NEWS Music fans without a ticket for this year's Glastonbury festival can enjoy the best of the extravaganza via free broadcasts on the web, without having to use chemical toilets or contract trench foot. The Glastonbury website http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk and http://www.playlouder.com are streaming highlights of the three-day festival for free. ISP Freeserve is also getting in on the act. The festival is on the weekend of 28 to 30 June and includes Scottish rocker Rod Stewart in the all-star line-up. Fans wanting to watch the action will have to use Microsoft's Media Player software.
