NEWS Yahoo! is to do its bit to lift the dot-com gloom today when it announces its first profit in seven quarters. An upturn in online advertising revenues will see the portal giant end a run of six consecutive losses when it announces profits expected to be two cents per share on revenue of $215m. For the comparable period last year the company reported losses of four cents per share on revenue of $183m.
