BT boasts broadband boost

But is it good enough?...

NEWS BT Group yesterday bragged to shareholders it is receiving 12,000 orders a week for its broadband services. Speaking at the company's annual meeting in Edinburgh, Ben Verwaayen, BT's CEO, said more than a fifth, or 1,115, of its exchanges, were now broadband-enabled. However, Verwaayen also had to face criticism from some shareholders angry at the level of pay awarded to senior directors.
