Sportingbet enjoyed the World Cup

Of course it did - all the favourites went out early doors...

NEWS Online bookie Sportingbet has announced it signed up 50,000 new users during the last three months, with the World Cup the biggest factor in its success. The company said more than 300,000 bets were placed on the World Cup and revenue more than doubled - up from £111.5m 12 months ago to £248.1m. Losses for the company were up from £1m to £1.5m.
