Robbie Williams triumphs in cyber squatting row

Take that!

NEWS Pop star Robbie Williams has won a custody battle for the robbiewilliams.info domain name. The domain was owned by Southampton-based Howard Taylor who was pointing the domain to a website dedicated to rival chart act Oasis. An arbitration panel decided the site had been bought and used in bad faith as Taylor attempted to play his part in fuelling a feud between Williams and the Gallagher brothers who front Oasis. The UN World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) said Taylor had no legitimate claim to the domain and said his actions appeared to be aimed solely at provoking Williams.
