Bon gone from France Telecom

The curse of silicon.com's Agenda Setters claims another victim...

NEWS The widely anticipated departure of France Telecom boss Michel Bon was confirmed today as the company announced its major shareholder, the French government, had 'accepted his resignation'. Bon took the fall for mounting losses which had seen the debt-ridden telco run up a E75bn debt. Losses for the first half of the year totalled E12.2bn. Bon becomes the latest in a growing line of high-profile tech bosses to lose his job - and is the latest victim of silicon.com's Agenda Setter curse (see http://www.silicon.com/a55390 for more on the silicon.com curse). In the past few months five people we tipped for greatness in 2002 have been shown the door - keep your eyes on the remaining 45 (go to http://www.silicon.com/as2002 to find out who they are).
