Want to see a washing machine destroyed live online?

You might think you don't - but this could be the web's next big fad...

NEWS Consumer association Which? is attempting to add another entry to the list of weird web crazes, by filming a washing machine 24 hours per day until it breaks down. The machine in question is a fairly standard washer - but Which? expects the contents of each load to be the factor which sparks public interest. Viewers of the latest webcam sensation will be invited to suggest contents for the machine's next spin - with Which? promising to put the tumbler through its paces with everything from the mundane clothing for which it is intended to items such as pot plants and Ulrika Jonsson's controversial autobiography. Unusual loads will continue to be washed until the machine is pushed beyond its limits and there is £1,000 up for grabs for whoever can guess how long the machine will continue to go on working.
