Welcome to the all-new silicon.com

It's silicon the third...

NEWS silicon.com has had a face-lift - the third since its launch in July 1998, and by far the most ambitious. The navigation has been overhauled to make your silicon experience far more intuitive. Some channels have been scrapped; some new ones have been added. This is a fast-moving industry – silicon.com’s structure reflects that. Try clicking on the tabs at the top of the screen - hardware, software, networking, management and comment to explore the site in more depth. The search function has also been improved to give more accurate results. In other words, you should be able to find exactly what you want – and fast. The systems underpinning the site have been stripped out and replaced in a bid to give you faster access to our top quality news, comment and analysis content. And what you’ll see will continue to be informative and entertaining. Now part of the CNet empire, silicon.com brings you the best IT coverage from around the world. With journalists in Silicon Valley, Australia, Asia, continental Europe and elsewhere, you'll get the latest product, technology and company news as it happens. Combine that with our continued coverage of the companies and the management issues that make the UK tick (along with our quirkier stories) - and not forgetting our exclusive line-up of columnists (of whom Peter Cochrane is just one) - and you'll see that we really do provide the complete package. If you have any views about the new site, please do email us at editorial@silicon.com.
