Arsenal rock bottom of the online Premiership

'The website was so slow that I was unable to see it from where I was standing...'

NEWS English football league leaders Arsenal have manage to turn their current sporting success on its head in the online world with the slowest website of any Premiership club. The Arsenal site, as measured by web monitoring firm Keynote, took a pedestrian 4.8 seconds to download during February - leaving the London club at the bottom of silicon.com's latest online Premiership. Last month's high-flyers Chelsea are still leading the way, tied in first place with Leeds United. Both sites were accessible within an average of 0.18 seconds over the month - a startling result which leaves more than one and a half seconds between them and third placed Everton - who regular readers may remember topped last season's table. However, the Toffees will be hard-pressed to defend their title this year with Chelsea seemingly a shoo-in now for the coveted accolade. Should Everton miss out on the defence of their title they may take some solace from the fact they are putting city rivals Liverpool to shame online. Liverpool's site limped along at an average of 3.47 seconds. No result could be recorded this month for the season's online strugglers, Manchester United. They were rock-bottom of the previous tables. The full table looks like this. 1. Chelsea (0.18) 2. Leeds (0.18) 3. Everton (1.75) 4. Sunderland (1.88) 5. Newcastle (2.01) 6. Aston Villa (2.1) 7. Tottenham (2.18) 8. Birmingham City (2.84) 9. Middlesbrough (2.88) 10. Manchester city (3.24) 11. West Ham (3.34) 12. Charlton (3.45) 13. Liverpool (3.47) 14. Southampton (3.55) 15. Fulham (4.34) 16. Arsenal (4.8) No data could be recorded this month for Blackburn, Manchester United, Sunderland or West Brom.
