NEWS If Janet Jackson wanted attention from the internet by exposing her breast during a Super Bowl halftime performance, she got it - and on some search engines in record-setting numbers.
In his Lycos 50 Daily Report, Aaron Schatz wrote that the brief flash of flesh has become the most searched for event in Lycos' history. Before this week, the leading search term over a one-day period was "September 11," he said.
"Although it is very difficult to compare searches for the two events, it looks like the Super Bowl halftime show was the equal of September 11 when it comes to internet attention," Schatz said. "That is, to put it bluntly, mind-blowing."
"Janet Jackson," "superbowl halftime" and "MTV," the network that produced the halftime show, were the top three Google.com gainers for the period between 26 January and 2 February. Google users searched for "Janet Jackson" almost 10 times more the day after the game than they did on Sunday, according to Google.
"Janet Jackson," "Super Bowl" and "Super Bowl Halftime Show" were the top three search terms at Yahoo!, the web portal said. In fourth place at Yahoo! on Wednesday was "Drudge Report" which published a photo of the bejeweled nipple. In fifth was Justin Timberlake, who sang with Jackson during the show and who, accidentally or not, helped her partially disrobe.
Users of TiVo, the digital video recorder system that lets viewers pause and "rewind" live TV broadcasts, apparently couldn't get enough of pop diva Jackson's fashion fiasco during the Super Bowl halftime show Sunday. The "wardrobe malfunction," which caused a flood of outraged phone calls to CBS, was replayed a record number of times by TiVo users, a company representative said Monday.

I hope that it was all a hoax, I HOPE janet knew it was gonna happen. A PUBICITY STUNT IS MUCH EASIER TO LIVE THROUGH;as opposed to an actual disrobing of her breast. I think that she gave herself up to micheal jackson's publicity crew. I can't believe that the American public (well OK some of it!) were so outraged by the "accidental" (yeah right!) baring of JJ boob. For Gods sake their TV shows (make believe) shootings/rapes/dismemberments/explosions etc with monotonous regularity - but one tit has them "digusted"?! GET REAL!!

I looked on the web to know what was all that fuss about JJ and was really surprised at the fuss i discovered(i don't have TV-personal choice- n i wouldn't watch the super bowl anyways) but come on, how can a boob draw such attention and such "disgust" from the american public? Turn on MTV and you might not see the nipple, but you see boobs and asses on display 99.99999% of the time, that,one could find disgusting as it shows a sad image to youngsters(and gives pervs n others material to j*** off), just look good shake your ass n get the boys, show the money get the girls...you don't have to be talented...just shake that thing n wear the right clothes...(the less clothes the better...) n also there's much more to be disgusted of when you look at the politics...
If someone who has been disgusted by the JJ affair reads my post, please wake up, there's many important issues that don't get the coverage they should or at least the people's attention, stop letting yourselves beeing manipulated by the media n industry politics....

i would be ok with it but my parents saw the whole thing and so did i. because of that i was not able to see the grammy awards that i had been waiting so long for. I HATE YOU JACKSON!!!!!!!!! and i know that JT was innocent and had nothin to do with it. i support JT

At first I thought it was an accident, and that it wasn't actually planned, you know. God, I was shocked when I saw the picture. Janet should be ashamed of herself! It seemed as if she did it on purpose. The way she dressed...it's not Justin's fault. Even after being condemned, she's still intent on showing her boobs to the world through her new disgusting vid.
