NEWS Carnival Cruise Lines has turned to AT&T to satisfy its global networking needs, including websites and call centres.
The telco will be paid $15m over three years to provide voice and data services, building on an existing relationship.
Three Carnival call centres are located across two states, Colorado and Florida, while its shipyards are in Italy and the UK. All facilities require reliable, 24-hour uptime, the company said in a statement.
Carnival will use AT&T BusinessDirect, a portal that allows customers access to real-time performance reports, among other things.
Two months ago London-based media company UBM signed a similar deal, also employing BusinessDirect.
