Anglian Water has signed a five-year deal worth £25m with Siemens Communications.

Siemens will supply a managed voice and data IP network for the water company and will provide support and monitoring services for the infrastructure.

The network will allow Anglian Water to introduce new employee services, such as web conferencing and streamed CCTV, as well as cutting down on call costs.

As well as bolstering tools for staff, the network will also facilitate the introduction of extra customer support services including email and web chat.
