Luxury bathroom fittings maker Kohler has selected Easynet to manage its wide area network in a deal worth €1.2m over three years.

The contract with the networking company covers sites across Europe, Egypt, Morocco and the US.

Easynet, purchased by BSkyB last October for over £200m, said it beat off competition from bigger networking providers AT&T, France Telecom and MCI.

Kohler's entire European network, based on MPLS, is being outsourced to Easynet. It carries data relating to enterprise resource planning (ERP) functions such as payroll, HR and manufacturing.
