Online publisher CNET Networks UK has launched a standalone video website featuring exclusive TV content.

CNET TV will broadcast a range of weekly programmes between five and 20 minutes long across film, music, technology and video games.

The video content is all original and free and includes Encoded, a weekly music show looking at new gigs, tracks and news from emerging and established bands, and Reel Report - covering the contemporary film scene and featuring interviews with Anton Corbijn and Sienna Miller.

CNET TV will also feature existing video content from CNET Networks UK's stable of business and consumer publications, including CNET.co.uk, silicon.com and ZDNet.co.uk.

Around 80 per cent of the UK's broadband users watch online video content, according to figures from Comscore.
