Photos: Zoom in on London from the airÂ…

192.com's Super Zoom lets you see the UK capital as you've never seen it before...

This may look like the side of a spaceship but it's actually Sir Norman Foster's Swiss Re tower - dubbed the "Gherkin" - in the City of London.

According to 192.com, the image quality of Super Zoom is three times better than Google Maps or Microsoft Live Maps.

The height from which you can view places across London is the equivalent of looking down from a 10-storey building.

Nice picture, but it is of the Clock Tower, not St. Stephen's Tower

Sorry, but that's not St Stephen's Tower in the photo, that's the Clock Tower. Fancy someone from a village in the middle of Cornwall having to tell you about your own fair city, and one of its most popular landmarks too ! Mind you, you're not alone. From a sample Google search totay, 4 out of 5 sites got it wrong too. The St Stephen's Entrance & Hall aro roughly in the middle of the Palace.
The largest of the five bells in the Clock Tower - Big Ben - was arguably named after Benjamin Hall, Clerk of the Works during the mid-19th century re-build. Whoever it was named after, I'm just glad that his Christian name wasn't Richard.
