NEWS

Networking giant Cisco has agreed to buy Tandberg, a videoconferencing company, the companies announced today.

The deal, worth about $3bn, will see Norwegian company Tandberg's video and network infrastructure products integrated into Cisco's collaboration software.

Under the deal, which is still subject to regulatory approval, a new TelePresence Technology Group will be created, headed up by Tandberg's current chief executive.
