In brief: Strangedays bug attacks day 26

NEWS Data security specialist Sophos has identified the latest in a series of viruses that jump between Microsoft Office applications. The macro virus, called StrangeDays, migrates between Word and Excel documents. It causes all files to be deleted on the 26th day of the month. Sophos said: "the StrangeDays code contains bugs and does not work correctly." A free fix is available from www.sophos.co.uk.
