CA offers eTrust for business ecommerce

By Polly Raymond, 21 July 1999 15:41

NEWS Computer Associates has launched a raft of products based on the security, privacy and trust requirements of businesses wanting to develop ecommerce initiatives. The 'eTrust' range - unveiled at the company's annual conference in New Orleans - goes to the heart of the buyer/seller relationship on the Web, according to CA. Buyers want assurances that their transactions are honoured and that privacy is maintained, and sellers want assurances that they are legally protected. CA claims these services and products will meet both ends. The eTrust range includes trust certificates, encryption, anti-virus mechanisms and malicious code prevention software.
