Windows security flaw exposed

NEWS Hacking advisory group, L0pht Heavy Industries, has discovered a security flaw in Microsoft Windows (from 95 to 2000) and Sun's SunOS and Solaris operating systems. It claims the problem lies in the Internet connection technology known as the Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) which may allow a hacker unauthorised entry. Once given this access, the attacker may be able to launch denial of service attacks, and modify and re-route Net traffic. More information about the problem can be found at http://www.l0pht.com/
