Synstar plans Irish business recovery centre

NEWS IT service provider, Synstar, will open what it claims to be Ireland's largest business recovery centre in September. The centre will initially have the capacity for 400 call centre agents, but this will eventually be expanded to 1,000. Ireland has a large number of call centres, and Synstar claims that organisations need this sort of facility to ensure their operations continue in the event of a major disaster. Synstar will work with Ericsson to restore customers' IT networks, rebuild systems after a hardware failure or replace the business facility altogether. The company has been based in Ireland for 12 years and its clients include AIB and Bank of Ireland.
