Secure e-accounting initiative from G5 Forum

NEWS The G5 Messaging Forum has announced it will begin trials of a secure, global e-accounting system in December. The Forum, a non-profit making body established to create a coherent specification for Integrated Multimedia Messaging, hopes its e-accounting initiative will allow records, invoices and statements to be sent electronically while retaining the same legal admissibility as the original. The initiative supports the new XML standards being developed by the Business Accounting Software Developers Association (Basda). The Forum includes Matsushita, NatWest Bank, Xerox, Equisys, NetStore, SeattleLab, Rockwell and 5th Generation Messaging.
