Sophos software launched in D-Fence of mobile workforce

NEWS Security specialist Sophos has launched data protection software aimed at remote workers running on Windows NT. The software, called D-Fence, secures data on a laptop hard drive, including boot files, operating system and swap files, reassuring users the information will be inaccessible in the event of loss or theft. Paul Ducklin, head of research at Sophos, claims the rise of teleworking is bringing with it higher risks to data and privacy, mainly because laptops and disks are more likely to be lost. D-Fence for Windows NT is available now for £49.50 for a 5-24 user licence.
