IBM revamps ecommerce security product

NEWS IBM has revamped its flagship ebusiness security software, SecureWay FirstSecure, with user authorisation features designed to secure corporate networks. Big Blue claims its identification technology is easier to maintain and cheaper to run because it uses a central directory to store security passwords from across the enterprise. Other upgraded features of SecureWay FirstSecure include PKI (public key infrastructure) technology for digital certificates and encryption, enhanced intrusion detection and anti-virus tools.
