Egg scrambles to enhance security with getAccess technology

NEWS Online banking provider, Egg, is rolling out enCommerce's getAccess technology to enhance the security of its banking services and products. The security software will be used for Egg's credit card, mortgage products, travel insurance, savings and loan accounts. According to enCommerce the technology provides fast authentication, authorisation and administration services enabling Egg to cope with its high volume of users. Pete Marsden, IT director at Egg, said in a statement: "We needed a system that would allow us to cater to the individual needs of our customers and tailor our product offering accordingly. "We also required a system which would withstand a high rate of traffic, a high number of simultaneous customer transactions, and above all, would be able to grow at a demanding rate. We currently have over 600,000 customers and that number is expected to grow to two million within the next two years."
