NEWS Technology allowing Web users to remain anonymous while online has US law enforcement agencies up in arms, according to reports. Zero-Knowledge Systems has developed a service that lets people send emails and visit Web sites and chat forums without leaving a trace of their presence. A spokesman for the National Association of Chiefs of Police told CNN the service could help wrongdoers disguise themselves and make it impossible to track them down. The service works only on Windows-based systems and costs $50 per month in the US.
