US government relaxes encryption export laws

NEWS The US government has relaxed its export laws to allow all encryption products available to the general public in the US to be exported without need for special licences. Producers of security software will be able to get a one-off licence to cover exports; companies will also be able to export the source code for encryption products. Some countries, which the US government regards as supporters of terrorism, will be excluded.
