'myCIO.com' launch creates security ASP

NEWS Network Associates (NAI), this week launched myCIO.com - a dedicated security application service provider (ASP) service. The company claims its offering will free up IT departments struggling with complicated and time-consuming enterprise security software. According to NAI, companies will be able to benefit from powerful services over the Web in a matter of hours, rather than wait months for internal deployment. "Chief Information Officers are quickly becoming Chief Internet Officers, and in every study of CIO's ebusiness concerns, topping the list are the security of their data and the availability of the networks carrying that data," said Zach Nelson, president and CEO of myCIO.com in a statement. "myCIO.com was created to utilise the Web to comprehensively address corporate infrastructure security and availability requirements, freeing companies to focus their limited internal resources on creating and implementing ebusiness strategies."
